Settings in FlexBookz
Manage team settings in FlexBookz: add or change your team logo and name, and learn how to safely leave a team using the Danger Zone.
Introduction
In the Settings menu of FlexBookz you manage your team's basic information and profile. This area lets you upload or change a team logo, update the team name, and manage membership actions such as leaving a team. These settings help you identify teams clearly across multiple locations, organize accounts within larger organizations, and ensure consistent branding and access control.
How it Works
The Settings page is divided into two main sections: Team Information and the Danger Zone. Team Information contains editable fields and file uploads used for identification and branding. The Danger Zone contains irreversible or sensitive actions — for example, leaving or deleting a team — and therefore requires confirmation before the system proceeds.
Concepts to know
Team Logo: A visual identifier shown in the app and on customer-facing widgets.
Team Name: The official display name for the team, which appears in notifications, invoices, and the dashboard.
Danger Zone: Actions that affect membership and access and cannot be undone without administrator intervention.
Step-by-Step Guide
Below are clear steps for the most common tasks in Settings: adding a logo, changing the team name, and leaving a team.
1. Add or change the team logo
Open Settings and locate the Team Information section.
Click the Upload a profile photo button.
Select an image file from your computer. We recommend a square image for best results.
Confirm the upload. The new logo will appear in the team preview and on public booking widgets once saved.
Notes:
Supported formats:
JPG,PNG. Animated formats (GIF) are not recommended for logos.Recommended size: a minimum of 400 x 400 px for clear rendering on high-resolution displays.
2. Update the team name
In Team Information, click the team name text field.
Enter the new team name. Use descriptive names that reflect location, department, or brand.
Click Update team to save your change.
Example naming conventions:
Example 1: "Glow Salon - Downtown"
Example 2: "Revive Spa - Team A"
Example 3: "Wellness Co. (East Branch)"3. Leave a team (Danger Zone)
The Danger Zone is located at the bottom of the Settings page. Leaving a team is permanent for your current login session and removes your access until re-invited.
Scroll down to the Danger Zone.
Click Leave team.
Confirm your choice in the confirmation dialog. You will immediately lose access to this team's data and dashboards.
Important: If you accidentally leave a team, request that a team administrator re-invite you.
Tips & Best Practices
Use a consistent naming convention across locations and teams. This makes searching and filtering faster for managers who oversee multiple teams.
Choose a high-contrast, square logo for best visibility on booking widgets, receipts, and email/SMS communications.
If you manage multiple locations, include the location name or code in the team name (for example, "SalonName - Uptown").
Limit who can edit team settings. Use roles and permissions to ensure only administrators can change branding or membership settings.
Communicate changes to staff. When you update team branding or name, notify staff so they recognize the new display across the app and client-facing material.
Before leaving a team, export any personal or shift data you need. Leaving will remove access to schedules and reports for that team.
Pro tip: Keep a master document with your team naming rules and logo assets so new team owners and admins can apply consistent settings quickly.
Troubleshooting
If you run into issues while updating settings, try the following checks and solutions.
Logo won't upload or display:
Confirm the file format is
.jpgor.png.Check file size limits. If your image is very large, resize it to under 5 MB.
Try clearing your browser cache or viewing the page in an incognito window to rule out caching issues.
Team name does not save:
Ensure you click Update team after editing the field.
Check your account permissions. Only users with manager or admin roles can change team-level settings.
If the name contains special characters, try removing them to see if validation is preventing the save.
Unable to leave a team:
Confirm you are not the only administrator. Some teams may require you assign a new admin before leaving.
Contact your team administrator if the option is disabled or greyed out.
Accidentally left a team:
Ask any team administrator to re-invite you from the Members page.
Still stuck:
Contact FlexBookz support and provide screenshots, the team name, and any error messages you see. This speeds up troubleshooting.
